FAQs about buying Tenor ukulele

Tenor ukuleles are the second-largest type of ukulele. Different types of ukuleles sizes are as follows:

  • Concert ukuleles are around 23 inches in length,
  • Tenor ukuleles are larger at around 26 inches,
  • Baritone ukuleles are the largest, measuring around 30 inches in length,
  • Soprano ukulele is the smallest with its 21 inches in length.

They are usually tuned to GCEA, the same as soprano and concert ukuleles, but some players may rather tune them to a low G (GCEA) or high G (gCEA) depending on their preferences.

Tenor ukuleles are not as traditional as soprano and concert ukuleles since they were developed later. However, tenor ukuleles have become very popular and it also can be used to play traditional ukulele music.
